TERMINOLOGY
Minimum Effective Dosage
A minimum effective dose refers to the minimum amount of an ingredient required for an intended benefit.
Safe dosage
Most ingredients have a clinically researched dosage threshold, whereby when crossed, the ingredient becomes toxic. The safe dosage refers to the clinically studied dosage limits that are safe for regular consumption.
Bioavailability
Bioavailability refers to the proportion of the nutrient that is absorbed through normal pathways
Adaptogen
Adaptogens are natural substances (sometimes referred to as herbal pharmaceuticals) considered to help the body adapt to stress and to exert a normalizing effect upon bodily processes.
Adaptogens have many benefits, including neuroprotective elements, anti-fatigue properties, antidepressive effects, they stimulate the central nervous system, and they increase mental work capacity, enhance attention, and prevent stress and fatigue.
AM YOUTH BOOST contains a variety of adaptogenic plants, including Gotu Kola, Ashwagandha, Boswellia Serrata, Amla Fruit. They are beneficial for use in the morning for their calming but energizing effects, and for their ability to help you manage stressors throughout the day.
Whole fruit (powder) vs. Extract
Natural plant ingredients can be used either as a whole fruit (powder), or as an extract. Extracts are often used to help isolate a specific, key compound in the plant, which provides a standardized ingredient.
Though extracts are standardized for specific compounds, there are times when a whole fruit (powder) is preferable, as all natural plant ingredients contain a variety of compounds with synergistic benefits, and extracting out key compounds may not serve the intended benefit as optimally.
Synergistic effects
Synergy in nutritional supplements refers to the combined effect of the individual ingredients – a sum which is more powerful than the sum of the individual ingredients by themselves. With natural plant ingredients, the synergistic effects are quite complex, and must be evaluated extensively when creating quality formulation. Some ingredients enhance the effectiveness of each other, while others cancel out certain effects when they are used together.
Ingredient synergies must be considered to ensure the proper dosing of ingredients is used, and to ensure the intended effects are present.
STUNN Collective has extensively researched the synergistic effects of ingredient combinations present in AM YOUTH BOOST and PM CELL RESET to ensure proper dosing and desired effects.
Antioxidant
Antioxidants are molecules that fight free radicals in your body and are known for their ability to prevent, and in some cases, reverse cellular damage. For more information on antioxidants and free radicals, check out the following articles:

Botanical
From the National Institute of Health, a botanical is a plant or plant part valued for its medicinal or therapeutic properties, flavor, and/or scent. Herbs are a subset of botanicals. Products made from botanicals that are used to maintain or improve health may be called herbal products, botanical products, or phytomedicines. Both AM YOUTH BOOST and PM CELL RESET contain a variety of botanical ingredients.
Free Radicals
Free radicals are highly unstable and reactive waste molecules produced by cells as the body processes foods and reacts to the environment. For more information on antioxidants and free radicals, check out the following articles:

Polyphenol
Polyphenols are a category of compound commonly found in plants that act as antioxidants.
Carotenoid
Carotenoids are pigments commonly found in plants that act as antioxidants. These pigments produce red, yellow, and orange colors in plants, fruits and vegetables. Lycopene, Astaxanthin, and Lutein are all carotenoids.
Flavonoids
Flavonoids are a type of polyphenol responsible for giving plants vivid colors. They are rich in antioxidants, and are found in many plants.
